Emergencies come in many forms and they may require anything from a brief absence from your home to permanent evacuation.  The best thing you can do for yourself and your pets is to BE PREPARED. Click here for help on how to do that. If you are being deployed, taking these simple steps from the ASPCA will help ensure that your best friend is properly cared for while you're away.

Our pets enrich our lives in more ways than we can count. In turn, they depend on us for their safety and well-being. Here's how you can be prepared to protect your pets when disaster strikes.

Dog Years Calculator
http://www.onlineconversion.com/dogyears.htm

It is a common belief that 1 human year is equal to 7 dog years. That is not very accurate, since dogs reach adulthood within the first couple of years. The formula should be 10.5 dog years per human year for the first 2 years, then 4 dog years per human year for each year after. This formula is from a canine expert and is a bit more accurate. (as accurate as one can judge these things)
